Before any conversation leaves your device, names, email addresses, telephone numbers and similar details are replaced with neutral placeholders. That work is done in your browser by an open-source model, which we have adapted for this purpose. It is built in two layers, each published by its own authors under its own licence.

This model has been modified. We have fine-tuned it on our own data so that it recognises the kinds of personal detail that appear in exported chat conversations. The original model is unchanged and remains available from its authors.

These are the components we deliver to your device from our own servers, so their licence notices travel with them and belong here. Other software involved in running the Service either loads directly from its own provider to your browser, or runs only on our servers and never reaches you.
